I'm sitting here, thinking trying to tell you something about who I am. I am a DJ, an Illustrator, owner of a dog, a thrill driver, I bleed seven colors, I love, I hate, a Cum Laude Baccalaureate and Orangeman, a vegetarian, pacifist, and an unreformed cyberpunk. I've been dating my S.O. for seven+ years now, while not necessarily a record, it's a real good thing.

The quick and dirty background is that I grew up a fairly well off goth in Cincinnati, OH. I went to Syracuse University for illustration, and landed in Washington DC where I've been working as a commercial artist and designer ever since.

What's probably important to know is I've been going to goth/industrial clubs on a near weekly basis since I was fifteen, and DJing regularly for the past thirteen years. Ever since my first experience at the all ages Club House in Cincinnati I knew that this is what I wanted, where I wanted to be. This was the music, these were the people, this was the environment that fit, that belonged.

Nearly every week in every club I could get to you could find me hassling the DJS asking what songs they were playing. I'd then go out to Culture 7, or Wizards Cave, or Everybody's and look for them over the weekend. Eventually it was my large music collection that landed me my first DJ gig, and it's just been going ever since.

That said I wish promoters would promote their events, rather than trying to tear down other people's gigs.

As for art it's my muse, it's what I do and what I am. It's in my blood and in my brain. It seeps out through my fingertips into pens and pencils, paper, computers and canvas. All in all it's very messy, paint, ink, ground up pixels smeared against the digital tapestry, at the same time it's very satisfying. The finished framed canvas, the printed pages, the magazine covers. While the process of making is probably more important than the process of finishing, there's undeniable joy in sated media.
